Staying cool during the summer months can be difficult at the best of times. Most of us are able to control the amount we sweat by wearing less clothes and exposing our toes, however, for people that suffer from Hyperhidrosis this process is a lot more complex.
Excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) can be distressing and have a serious impact on your life as it can affect many areas of the body (including the palms, armpits and soles). Those that suffer from the condition tend to avoid social and physical contact because they are embarrassed about the problem.
There are two types of Hyperhidrosis: primary focal and secondary generalized.
Primary focal Hyperhidrosis refers to excessive sweating that is not caused by another medical condition or medication. The excessive sweating itself is the medical condition. Primary focal Hyperhidrosis may also be inherited from family members and begin in childhood or adolescence.
Secondary generalized Hyperhidrosis is caused by another medical condition or is a side effect of medication. People with secondary Hyperhidrosis experience sweating on larger or other areas of the body (described as generalized areas) and may often experience their sweating symptoms while sleeping. Secondary generalized Hyperhidrosis suffers usually first experience excessive sweating in adulthood. Treatment for this type of Hyperhidrosis often involves determining (if any) the underlying medical condition or medication that may be the problem.
If you think you suffer from Hyperhidrosis or have been diagnosed with the condition, then you’ll be glad to know we can treat it!
We offer a treatment that will help you deal with excessive sweating when antiperspirants fail. You will no longer feel embarrassed about your condition!
Our treatment involves injections of Botox into the affected area to treat the symptoms of severe sweating (primary focal Hyperhidrosis). This process temporarily blocks the chemical signals from nerves that stimulate the sweat glands thus stopping severe sweating in the treated areas.
A single treatment costs £550. However we offer a 6th treatment FREE when you book your 5th*!
