If you’ve become self-conscious about droopy eyelids or eyebags under your eyes, then you have a couple of options that could help you restore your eyes back to their former glory.
At Aesthetics of Essex’s Upminster Clinic, we offer both surgical and non-surgical options to help reduce your droopy eyelids and eye bags, and brighten up that area of your face. We stock ZO products – innovative skincare solutions, optimising skin health based on the latest advances in skin therapy technologies – including Intense Eye Cream and Eye Brightening Cream.
ZO Intense Eye Cream
Reducing the look of dark circles and puffiness around the eyes, this targeted retinol eye treatment visibly reduces wrinkles and fine lines – ultimately improving the skin texture around the eyes and overall complexion.
ZO Eye Brightening Cream
Helping to minimise multiple signs of ageing – including puffiness, dark circles and fine lines – this brightening cream is specifically designed for use on the delicate skin around the eyes.
Surgical Option
If you’re looking for a more permanent solution to your upper eyelids in Upminster, then why not go for the eye lift blepharoplasty? This treatment involves making a slight incision along the natural crease of the eyelid for excess skin and tissue to be removed
Carried out by Ricardo Tejero, GMC No 4286916, who is a highly qualified plastic surgeon specialising in intricate hand surgery, blepharoplasty can be used to:
- remove excess skin and fat from upper eyelids
- improve peripheral vision
- reduce sagging skin, lines and creases around the eyes
You will have local anaesthetic for the procedure so you won’t experience any pain or discomfort. Taking approximately one-hour, slight incisions will be made along the natural crease of the eyelid for excess skin and tissue to be removed. Small sutures will then be applied, which will need to be removed after a period of five days by our nurses.
You may experience some bruising and swelling, and you should avoid exercise and strenuous activities for a while, to allow the incisions to heal properly.
The results of the blepharoplasty will be natural, leaving a refreshed and youthful appearance around the eyes and, apart from the appearance, you may also experience improved vision! The results can last for years; however, it cannot stop the ageing process, just slow it down a little bit.
When you book your initial consultation with our team of experts here in Upminster, we will discuss your medical history, what your expectations are and how your upper eyelid treatment will go.
If you are in good health and typically over the age of 35 – although you may be younger if droopy eyelids are as a result of your genetics – then you are likely to be a suitable candidate. Contact us for further information and to book a consultation.
