Rosacea is a skin condition that causes an acute inflammation in the sebaceous glad, when dead skin is clogging the pores the inflammation gets trapped and causes a redness to appear on the skin.
Pigmentation is a common condition characterised by darker patches of discolouration or unevenness caused by an over production of melanin. It usually occurs on the face, neck, décolletage, shoulders and hands. These are particularly areas that have been overexposed to the sun. Other causes include trauma, injury or hormonal changes, for example pregnancy or changes in contraceptive use. Freckles, sun spots and age spots and melasma are the most common types of pigmentation or hyperpigmentation.
