Your Guide to Going Bigger

Breast enlargement (augmentation mammoplasty) is the most common cosmetic procedure performed world wide, with many celebrities like Janet Jackson, Victoria Beckham and Niki Minaj going ‘under the knife’ too, it may be hard to decide for yourself whether the advantages outweigh the risks.

No two women have the same body, and similarly, no two breasts are the same even when they belong to the same woman. For those of you with small breasts, unsymmetrical breasts, or even sagging breasts (due to the effects of aging) having a breast enlargement can help to improve the size, shape and firmness of the breast; resulting in a more curvy, youthful silhouette.

How big should I go?

When deciding on the size, take your existing body proportions into account. Communicate your desired outcome to our surgeon during consulatation and consider his feedback before committing to your final decision.

Silicone or saline?

We use Allergan’s range of premium breast implants. Take our word for it when we say you can not go wrong with their ‘Natrelle’ range. These are the world’s leading manufacturer of premium silicone implants and are highly recommended by our expert Cosmetic Surgeon Dr Russo. The Natrelle Collection offer many combinations – from the type of filler to the size, shape and lift – to give you a natural shape and feel that fits your body. Information about our implants will be explained in further detail during your consultation.

Can implants pose health risks?

Breast augmentation with implants is a safe and widely performed procedure. The most common side effect of breast augmentation is a condition known as ‘capsular contracture’. This is the growth of firm internal scar tissue around the implant, which can cause hardening of the breast.

The Procedure

The procedure will last around 45 minutes and involves an insertion in each breast, the implants are then placed either under or over the glandular muscle (whichever was decided during consultation), to give a natural breast enlargement. General anaesthesia is used during surgery for your comfort and pain relief will be available post-surgery to reduce any pain and discomfort you may be feeling.

We believe that every woman deserves to look and feel beautiful, therefore we will try to help in any way we can. For more information about Breast Augmentation or other Cosmetic Surgery procedures that we offer, contact the clinic on 01708 225555.
