Upper Eyelids Rayleigh

Upper Eyelids Rayleigh

Do you have excess skin or fat on your eyelids? If so, you may be the perfect candidate for upper eyelid surgery in Rayleigh.

Muscles around the eyes can also start to weaken and eyelids can begin to stretch and sag, which can even affect your eyesight and peripheral vision. This may be as a result of the natural ageing process, or it could be that eyebags and droopy eyelids are in your genes and run in your family. Also known as blepharoplasty, upper eyelid surgery addresses the lack of elasticity around the eyes by tightening the area.

Eyelid surgery in Rayleigh with Aesthetics of Rayleigh means there’s no need to live with ‘tired eyes’ anymore. Choosing blepharoplasty in Rayleigh is one of the most efficient ways to improve hooded eyelids – which are often the first sign of the natural ageing process.

The procedure

At our aesthetics clinic in Rayleigh, upper eyelid surgery is performed by our skilled and highly-qualified surgeon, Ricardo Tejero (GMC No. 4286916 full registration).

We will use local anaesthetic to numb the area so you won’t be in any pain. Once you are comfortable, a tiny incision will be made along the natural crease of the eyelid and any excess skin and tissue will be removed. Stitches will then be placed at the site of the incision, which will need to be removed after a period of five days.

The procedure will take approximately an hour and you will be able to leave our Rayleigh clinic immediately. Eyelid surgery in Rayleigh delivers exceptional results – opening up the eye area and looking entirely natural.

Recovering from upper eyelid surgery can take up to two weeks and some people can experience mild side effects, such as blurred vision, swelling and irritation. As these are temporary, they can be managed with ice, eye drops and painkillers. You should avoid any strenuous activity, including swimming, smoking and wearing contact lenses / rubbing your eyes.

It’s recommended you don’t wear any eye make-up for three weeks following the surgery, to allow your eyelids time to heal. The results can last a lifetime but it’s important to note that the surgery doesn’t stop the ageing process – it just slows it down.

Some clients who have undergone blepharoplasty in Rayleigh, report an increase in their self-confidence and self-worth following the surgery, with others saying their vision has improved. They also report a reduction in lines and creases around the eyes, and in eye bags and tightening of skin around the eyelids.

We understand that choosing eyelid surgery in Rayleigh is something that cannot be taken lightly and we encourage you to give it some careful consideration, so you are able to make an informed decision.
