Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) –
A very small amount of hair is removed from the natural donor area, from groupings called follicular units. Under microscopic magnification, grafts are created that keep these natural groupings intact. The grafts are then placed in tiny micro incisions in the bald area, created in a pattern and disruption that mimic nature.
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) –
Donor tissue is removed from a broad area of the back of the scalp. A circular incision is made in the skin around the upper part of the follicle which is then extracted directly from the scalp, leaving a small open hole. The advantage of FUE is that it leaves no linear scar.
