Sclerotherapy: Spider vein treatment

Sclerotherapy is an effective procedure used to treat visible veins, spider veins and vascular blemishes under the skin, on any area of the body; cheeks, arms, thighs, legs. All it takes is one session* and a series of injections…

Yes, the Sclerotherapy procedure does involve needle injections – dreaded by most – but we promise you the results make it worthwhile!

The injections contain a medical chemical solution, which is injected along the evident vain or vessel, causing inflammation inside the vein, which leads to clotting, and forces it to collapse. The blood is then forced to reroute through healthier veins, while the body reabsorbs the collapsed vein into local tissue – disappearing from sight.

What are the causes?

Visible veins and broken vessels can occur from various factors, ranging from hormonal influences during pregnancy or puberty, sun exposure and obesity, to poor circulation, inherited genes or the natural (and unavoidable) aging process.

If you’ve noticed broken blood vessels, spider veins or small varicose veins appear on your body which are rather unsightly and make you self-conscious, you don’t have to hide them under clothing, and you don’t have to put up with it. Unfortunately there are no creams or products that will completely eliminate them; however we can guarantee Sclerotherapy is one of the best treatments for it, with a simple injection procedure, noticeable results and minimal recovery time.

Here at Aesthetics of Essex, we have a well-experienced, well-trained nurse that is qualified in performing this procedure, making it stress-free and relatively quick. Visible results are sometimes immediate; however we expect the treated veins to fade over a few weeks, taking up to a month to be completely absorbed by the body.

Our team are known for their friendliness and dedication to maintaining a high quality of work; even celebrities such as Jodie Marsh and Stacey Soloman are flocking to our clinic for treatments!
